This place couldn’t be simpler or more unpretentious, and the grill is absolutely fantastic. The daily menu is generously served and includes fish or meat, appetizers, a drink, coffee, all for a low price.
The grilled selection varies daily, as the fish depends on the fresh catch available. Options might include Sea Bream, Cuttlefish, Mackerel, or Sardines. On weekends, it’s worth checking in advance, as they sometimes serve Cachupa*.
While the service isn’t top-notch, the staff, the man manning the grill, and the owner (Johnson, who hails from Cape Verde) are all very friendly, helpful, and polite.
The restaurant mostly caters to locals – regulars who aren’t looking to spend a lot but still want excellent grilled food and fresh catches of the day.
