Os Agostinhos

Quarteira / 15€ ~ 25€.

A menu featuring a vast daily selection of meat and fish is sure to please anyone seeking quality, a well-prepared meal, and a place to dine every day.

I could recommend many dishes, as I’ve visited frequently and sampled a variety, but to keep it concise, here are those that impressed me the most: Grilled Grouper – the best I’ve tasted in the Algarve; Carne de Porco à Portuguesa – similar to “à Alentejana”* but without the clams (if you’re not famished, one serving is more than enough for two), and Fresh Sole – worth it especially for the freshness and quality of the fish.

The staff is friendly, providing impressively fast and efficient service, even in August, when there’s often a queue – but I can assure you, it’s worth the wait.

At the entrance, you’ll find a menu board, and the only challenge is choosing from such a broad range. The task is made easier by a large display showing meat on one side and fish on the other.
